We are a team of students 7-10th grade with diverse backgrounds from the Des Moines Iowa metro ---

What We Do
As a First Tech Challenge team, we are tasked to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format for the season.
Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles, while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and working as a team.
Teams also raise funds, design and market their team brand, and do community outreach to earn specific awards.

FIRST® is a student-led program teaching kids about STEM. Through a suite of inclusive, team-based robotics programs for ages 4-18 and backed by a global network of mentors, coaches, volunteers, alumni, and sponsors, FIRST has a proven impact on learning, interest, and skill-building inside and outside of the classroom.
